Halloween is here and I’m in NYC. How glorious! It’s my all time favorite season to visit the East Coast. If not for the crisp and beautiful weather when the leaves in Central Park transform from a rich, dark green to yellows, deep reds and faded browns. Then for the amazing parties where the New Yorkers really know how to dress up. I’m serious. Everybody here is making an effort and I love it. Overdressing is one of my vices so… go figure
Last night my friend Haya and I had dinner at the beautiful Jean Georges restaurant JoJo. I can really recommend it. The food, service and ambience is amazing. Like being in a ‘style piece’ feasting on the most delicious appetizers.
After din-din our London based friend Danny came and we took a cab down to the Purple Magazine Party at Le Bain.
Here are a couple of shots from last night…. note: yesterday’s party was exactly how I remember ‘my NYC’. No limits, crazy, beautiful, stylish and full of energy.
Friday and we are moving from The fabulous and antique Greenwich Hotel to the new and hip Gansevoort Hotel on South park, which is only 4 blocks from my 4 pm shoot with NIGHT ITALIA and Andy Warhol/ The Factory photographer Anton Perich.
the crew from Rome was here and we shot a lot of video, interview and photos. I will let you know more about this whole project after November 4th when NIGHT ITALIA introduces issue 5 at The Gershwin Hotel here in NYC.
Here are a couple of shots. Anton Perich painted a pair of jeans and gave them to me
Got into NYC on a red-eye on Wednesday morning with Virgin America. Didn’t sleep at all on the flight since I involved myself in a 4 hour long conversation with a Greek artist who sat in the seat next to me. Very interesting.
So Wednesday was ‘Zombie day’. I had a lot of social engagements, phone calls, emails and sleep to catch up on. But the stress kind of fizzled after my appointment at the beyond divine Peninsula Spa on 5th Avenue and 55th street and a glass of wine in my hotel room later. (I can truly recommend a visit to the pool and the facial at the Peninsula!!!)
Today was Jayma’s bday, owner of Surflodge in Montauk, Goldbar, Lavo etc. So I paid her a visit to celebrate. But first my friend T and I took a town car, had champagne in plastic cups, caught up and did the très NYC gallery hopping thing, a Breast Cancer Benefit in Soho and ended up at the big masquerade Black Tie gala at the Lincoln Center.
All in all a super night in NYC and I cannot wait for tomorrow. Besides the birthday party I’m going to I’m meeting with an Italian film crew in the afternoon and we are going to do some test shooting. So this rock star is off to bed now a little earlier than her die-hard New Yorker friends.
Here are a couple of shots of me in my Shekhar Rahate couture gown before I’m off to my events. The pictures are shot in my room in the lovely Greenwich Hotel in TriBeCa.
This weekend was the 2nd year anniversary for the Hollywood hot spot Bardot, which made me think; Wow – has it really been 2 years since I moved to LA from NYC? 2 years and then some… actually more like 2,5 years. Time does fly when you are having fun and so much has happened since I packed my bags and left Williamsburg and 12 bags of clothes behind. (I’m still regretting that I left the clothes behind even though it went to charity). I’m not regretting that I moved to LA. It’s my base now and I’m so lucky to travel so much that I don’t become come ‘Sooooo LA’… Or… at least not yet
Anyways, Saturday night at Bardot was amazing and packed with artists, cool peeps, fashionistas and celebrities. Movie star Cameron Diaz, ‘Kiss’ Gene Simons, ‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison and super star singer Macy Gray all hung out while the latter – Miss Gray performed in company with the glorious L.P. and Nick Simons. Not a bad night to hit this scene if you like live music.
I met up with my old friend Malin, whom I know from back in the days in Stockholm. Malin AKA ‘Miss sexy long legs’ reps Absolute Vodka and she had set up a cool VIP lounge for Absolute lovers like myself.
Here are a couple of pics from the event…

Hahaha this designer girl Charlene tried to move out of LA. She packed her stuff, threw a goodbye party and drove off towards Arizona with a trunk load of shoes, patterns and accessories. 2 weeks later she is back in LA and I believe this time to stay…
Yesterday was a busy day with tons of meetings so I had planned a chilled night with my friend Natasha to cook a bit (or at least heat edamame beans from Trader Joe’s in the micro wave), drink wine on ice and watch ‘The Misfits’ with Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable. I’m reading ‘After The Fall’ by Arthur Miller right now for my one-on-one acting classes with Anthony and in connection with that I’m researching on the blonde phenomenon as much as possible.
Anyways, as I was getting comfy in my oversized boyfriend tee and my new Reuse jeans Natasha called with a ‘change of plans’: ”Girl my friend Frankie Delgado called me and asked if we could join him on the show ‘The Hills’ where he is a regular. They are doing a new Sims video about ‘The Ultimate Clubbing Experience’.” So we did a 360, changed into something more appropriate and joined Frankie and actor&promoter Michael Bellisario and the TV crew for some fun.
Here’s a couple of shots from last night…
