KK in front of Anton Perich's Iconic image of WARHOL

Last night we took the long and winding road out to Malibu to attend an event the boutique CANVAS held. Apparently it was the owner’s birthday and a beautiful crowd showed up to pay their respects.

I was quite surprised to find my old NYC friend and mentor Anton Perich’s work hanging between Y-3 and Ralph Lauren. I had to get a snapshot of the scenario. I love working with Anton and I can’t get enough of his black & whites from the 70′s.

… What am I wearing..???? Thought you’d never ask ;-) :

Surfer dress from American Apparel, Cardigan from Rugby Ralph Lauren, Band Jacket vintage scoop found in Haight Street in San Francisco, purse from Moonlight Rugs & Art on Main street in Santa Monica (a gift from Jannik – tons of boyfriend points for that action!!!! :-) ).

Besides the free bar, chocolates and interesting people to mingle with, a pretty hot line up of music was represented. RES being the name of the night. And she was a true show stopper. So good live. I fell hard for her voice and sweet karma.

It’s a Learning Process….

Sedona's Rule Poster

Hey Guys,

While I was in San Francisco I met with the director and producer of Sedona’s Rule and I watched the rough cut. I could tell the Josh (the director) was a bit nervous showing the movie to me. He is so cute. :-)

But it was cool to watch it. The cinematography is beautiful!!! Of course I keep beating myself up over all the little things I could have done differently. ”Stop fidgeting Kristina!!!!!!!” Some scenes I can see myself not being clear in my actions and I want to beat myself with a stick. It’s such a learning process…

But then again other scenes that I was quite afraid of how would look turned out pretty good. After a workday of 16 hours where you have been feeling all emotions possible you feel pretty beat and you don’t know what you are doing anymore…. you are just acting on impulse and it’s all about survival… That’s why it’s a good idea to make sure you work with a damn good team so they got your back in regards to how it looks in regards to ….. yeah… well looks (duh!). But also acting, story telling and the whole lot….

A dear producer friend of mine once told me that going into production with a feature film is like going to war. It’s not for the fainthearted. That’s a fact!

We are going to do some pick up scenes here in LA in November and hopefully the movie will be finished around New Years. Yay! Can’t wait to show it to you..

Ok, gotta hit the gym now. Have an event in Malibu later. Weather is still insane and warm here in LA. Guess I will take my new little, sexy Alexander Wang dress for a test run tonight. Maybe with my tan wedge sandals …. sounds good? :-)

talk later

Me running on beach in Carmel

Me running on beach in Carmel

Hey hey strangers,

So sorry I’ve been one lazy son of a gun on the keyboard the past few weeks, but I had the most amazing trip up the coast of California. My mother and step father paid a visit and I had the best time ever.

I can highly recommend that you visit Carmel at least one time in your life. We stayed at Clint Eastwood’s Resort Mission Range near the beach. That spot is out of a fairy tale. I kid you not!

I went for my only morning run (on this trip) and got lost somewhere on the little roads twisting and turning through the forest. After one hour of running around like a headless chicken I gave up and asked a park ranger for guidance. He helped me find back to the hotel….. needless to say I was wiped out after one hour of sweating in my loyal Nikes.

But the fatigue disappeared when we went down to the beach in Carmel. The sand and water just outside of our hotel Mission Range was stunning! Azur blue water, huuuuge waves, pelicans and colonies of sea lions playing in the Pacific….I almost cried… ha ha..

….many more stories to tell, but now I have to get my fat ass in my Nikes yet again and run up and down Sunset Plaza Drive. (yes I know it’s insane)….But, seriously, I can’t remember last time I ate and drank so well 14 days in a row…. the best of wines, mimosas in the morning, starters, entrees, desserts….. Yummi!

And tonight I have a photo shoot with a film director slash photographer and I feel anything, but in shape… so wish me luck ;-) .

still sedona's rule

still sedona's rule

….A couple of pics I just got from feature film Sedona’s Rule.

And here is a little mix of my work that I put together in Imovie. It is my first time editing so I know it’s not a 100% pro looking, and I still haven’t gotten all my work from the directors I’ve worked with (yes, you know who you are …. ha ha ;-) ..!!). But at least I hope it gives you a whiff of what I’m about.

Dangerously in Love 2

I hope that Jay Z dropped a tear when he saw this…. I know that I did. Maybe I’m just waaaay to emotional that I go falling for these kind of girly love songs. And yes the white dove in the end is absolutely over-kill.

But still…. Just imagine to sing this song (like that) to somebody or have somebody sing this song (like that) to you….

Oh well… I guess it’s just that time of month…. I will go pick up some chocolate and stop blabbering…

Speak later
